Noah Seeks the Hand of a Goddess

   You have fallen into the place where everything is music. 
Moonlight floods this space, casting shadows on the polished 
floorboards. Much must be left unsaid, because it is late, but 
whatever conversation we haven't had tonight, we'll have tomorrow. 
Stop the words now. Open the window in the center of your chest 
and let the spirits fly in and out. 

Sharky's staff is lying here. 
The door to sharky's office is closed. 
Sharky's ceremonial black robe has been carefully hung here. 
Sharky sits here. 
Boogie grazes quietly nearby.

Noah bows to Sharky.

Sharky smiles.

Sharky hands Noah a hot cup of tea.

Noah thanks Sharky whole-heartedly.

Sharky rubs her eyes.

Noah sips on a hot cup of tea.

Sharky says 'What's on your mind, Noah?'

Sharky looks at Noah over her spectacles.

Noah says 'As you may have noticed, Katri and I have spent a good amount of time 
together, seeking further our boundaries as you would call a 'relationship'.  And 
I feel it is only fair to ask of you this before I ask of her...'

Sharky raises an eyebrow quizzically.

Noah takes a deep breath, then continues.

Noah says 'I seek Katri's hand in marriage, and I would like your approval.'

Sharky says 'I see.'

Sharky says 'You seek the hand of a Goddess.'

Noah nods.

Sharky says 'Not a light request.'

Noah says 'It is why I ask M'Shakti before all else.'

Sharky nods.

Sharky says 'More than one suitor has asked for Katri's hand'

Sharky says 'and failed the tests put before him.'

Sharky says 'You believe yourself worthy to be the consort of a Goddess?'

Noah shakes his head negatively.

Noah says 'I am not.'

Sharky looks at Noah severely.

Sharky nods.

Sharky says 'Quite so.'

Noah says 'But out of grace I ask of you.'

Sharky ponders life, the Universe and everything.

Sharky says 'Let me think on this.'

Noah nods.

Noah says 'As you wish, M'Shakti.'

Sharky smiles.

Sharky says 'You know of course '

Noah listens carefully.

Sharky says 'What becomes of apprentice wizards who behave wrongly towards
Goddesses and betray their tender hearts?'

Noah says 'I will betray my life before I betray her.'

Sharky hmms in deep thought.

Sharky says 'I won't have her trifled with, Noah. I won't have it.'

Noah says 'I understand.'

Sharky says 'She is very precious to me.'

Noah smiles.

Sharky says 'And furthermore, she's a Goddess.'

Noah says 'With all due respects, M'Shakti, she is precious to me as well.'

Sharky nods.

Sharky says 'For some reason, I believe you.  I'll have your answer with the week.'

Noah says 'Thank you, M'Shakti, you are so kind.'

Sharky smiles.

Sharky extends her hand.

Noah kisses Sharky's hand. 

Sharky says 'You have nice manners, child.'

Noah smiles at Sharky.

Noah says 'I am honoured with your words.'

Sharky smiles.

Sharky says 'You may go :)'

Noah nods.

Noah bows to Sharky.
